Republic Blower Systems

1. Assure that the blower is working properly and that it is rotating in the
correct direction.


2. The blower should not be more than 25 feet from the drying system. Hard piping is preferred because flex hose will cause a pressure loss. Cracks and holes in flex hose will allow air leaks, reducing performance and possible over-amp motor.


3. The blower must be free from external vibration sources.


4. Mount air knives as close to the product as possible. You may need to cut rails on conveyor. 1⁄4” to 1⁄2” is the preferable distance.


5. Make sure the filter element remains clean. A dirty element will greatly
decrease the blower life.


6. Ambient blower temperature should not exceed 105° to maintain motor
warranty.


7. Do not adjust air knife gap without consulting Republic or your local
distributor. Increasing the flow will increase the motor amp draw and
destroy your motor.


8. Make sure the air knives are not spraying water/liquid on the blower because that would greatly reduce the life of the blower.

9. Assure that the belt is mounted properly per owner’s manual.

10. Verify that the anti-backlash bolt on the automatic belt tension arm is
properly adjusted.

11. Do not allow the blower to run in full open position. A flow control valve, air knife, or nozzle is needed.
